Rob Meltzer, MA, CEP, is the Founder and primary consultant at Northlight Family Services. He is a Certified Gestalt Therapist, Certified Educational Planner (CEP), and a full member in good standing of the Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA). In the past, Rob has served as a school principal, wilderness program director, and university professor. He holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Vermont and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Prescott College. Rob is currently working towards certification in Nutritional Psychiatry and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. He has a particular interest in Epigenetics and Functional Medicine. Since 2000, Rob has evaluated and over 1,000 schools and programs throughout the United States and the world. Rob enjoys helping families find the best path forward and supports them with compassion.
Gretchen assists Rob with administrative tasks at NFS. Gretchen has extensive experience in support staff roles including 20 years as an Emergency Room Coordinator, and working the front lines in an award-winning Physical Therapy Clinic. She also worked for many years as a Library Aide and ran the children’s story hour. She moved to Colorado after a liberal arts education that included New England boarding school and the University of Puget Sound where she majored in English Literature and Art History. She later trained as a massage therapist and owned two private practices. She loves being the point of contact for Northlight Family Services and making sure that the day-to-day systems run smoothly. Gretchen is also a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach who is committed to raising awareness about the benefits of personalized nutrition. When she is not working with Rob, Gretchen enjoys mindfulness practices, trying new recipes, nurturing plants and flowers, and exploring the quiet nooks and crannies of the West.
